RHCC’s Purpose: To know Jesus intimately and to share His love and truth passionately
RHCC’s Vision: Valuing our strategic international location, our passion is to be a church family of committed disciples of Jesus as diverse as our community, who reflect the beauty and love of Jesus, and who urgently take the Gospel of Jesus to our neighbors and to the nations.
Established in 1956, Rolling Hills Covenant Church is uniquely located in Rolling Hills Estates, California, within miles of one of the wealthiest zip codes in the state, as well as some of our state’s most impoverished neighborhoods. The Los Angeles Harbor sits within view of our property, a gateway for the world’s goods and people to enter into our economy our neighborhoods and hopefully into the Kingdom of God.
Our church campus is comprised of two locations: our main campus, located at 2222 Palos Verdes Drive North, and our North Campus (directly across the street). RHCC offers seven worship services each weekend, including both Spanish and Japanese language services. Children’s programs from infants through grade five are offered at each service. Our worship services vary in format and music styles, and feature contemporary worship bands, choir and orchestra.
In our pursuit of knowing Jesus we believe the Bible is the revelation of God’s truth to us. Jesus, the living Word, and the Bible, the written Word are the foundations for all our ministry and our lives. Whether we gather in worship or in small groups, the study and applying of the transforming and practical truths of God’s Word is core to our time and purpose.
We also believe the church that Jesus builds is full of love. We are excited by the fact that our location in the South Bay of Los Angeles has one of the most ethnically diverse populations of anywhere in our country. We think the diversity of the people in our community ought to be reflected in the church that Jesus builds. It encourages us that Rolling Hills Covenant Church is home to a people as diverse as our community. We also seek to take that love in practical acts of kindness and compassion into our communities, especially to those in need. We want to be known by our love.
From the beginning of our church’s 60+ year history taking the love and truth of Jesus to the nations has been a feature of our church. We support over 60 missionaries/mission organizations around the world, and are active in sending out short-term mission teams to domestic and international destinations each year.
